An A-frame or log cabin is one of the most recognisable forms of Pocono property, and one of the hardest to find on the open market. Buyers who cannot find the right one sometimes build instead.
The builders below all produce cabin-style homes built to residential code and deliver across the Pocono region. Four manufacture in Pennsylvania; two build from over the New York line and serve Pike and Wayne Counties directly. These are full residences built to residential code, not park models or recreational cabins, so they can be financed, insured and occupied year-round like any other house.
A strong choice if a true A-frame is what you want. Their A-Frame Lodge is a full modular residence rather than a park model, and they also build log and modern cabin lines. Lancaster County, roughly two hours from the Poconos.
Cozy Cabins
455 E. Farmersville Road, New Holland, PA 17557 (717) 354-3278
Modular log homes built in Lancaster County since 1997, arriving substantially complete. Traditional log-cabin architecture rather than a modern A-frame, across chalet, alpine and lodge styles. Display models can be toured at their New Holland facility.
A vacation-home line including chalet-style plans, from a builder in northern Pennsylvania. They say most of their homes are customised rather than built to a stock plan, so the published plans are a starting point.
The closest of the four, with a sales office in Honesdale, Wayne County. Building modular homes since 1972, including a log cabin line built to residential code with engineered plans and inspections during construction. Worth a conversation for anyone building in Wayne or Pike County.
Just over the New York line, and the only builder here that names Pike County in its service area. Their chalet collection runs to eleven designs, and they work either as a turnkey builder or by supplying the modular package for someone else to set. Homes are built on Simplex modular frames to conventional residential specification.
Westchester Modular Homes Construction
642 International Blvd, Rock Tavern, NY 12575 (845) 787-0400
The only builder here that names both Pike and Wayne Counties in its service area. Employee-owned, and the retail arm of Westchester Modular Homes, whose factory has operated in Wingdale, New York since the late 1980s — so the manufacturer and the builder are both identifiable, which is not always the case. Their cape and vacation home lines cover chalet and mountain styles, and the Rock Tavern office is the closer of the two to the Poconos.

Important Disclosure
These builders are listed for information only. Kerry J. McCaw and All of Pocono have no financial, referral or affiliate relationship with any company on this page, and receive nothing if you contact them. Details were verified in September 2026 and may change — confirm current pricing, plans and delivery areas directly with each company. Building on a Pocono lot involves zoning, septic, well, access and HOA requirements that vary by township and community, and many private communities have architectural review requirements or restrict modular construction. Verify what applies to your parcel before committing to any plan.
Looking for an existing A-frame or cabin instead?
Building is not the only route. A-frames, chalets and log homes do come to market across the Poconos, though they move quickly and rarely stay listed long. Kerry can set up a search that alerts you when one appears.
