Timber Trails is a private gated community in Pocono Pines, Monroe County, governed by the Timber Trails Community Association (TTCA). Most of the community lies in Tobyhanna Township, with a small section in Coolbaugh Township. TTCA owns the private roads, the gatehouse, and Tall Timber Lake with its beach, bathhouse and playground.
The Timber Trails Golf Course, pool, clubhouse and tennis courts sit within the community but belong to the Lake Naomi Club, which is shared with neighboring Lake Naomi and available through optional membership.
The Lake Naomi Club is a separate organization that owns and operates the recreational facilities shared by Lake Naomi and Timber Trails. Membership is optional and separate from community association dues.
⚠ Renters can use Lake Naomi Club amenities only with a temporary membership sponsored by the owner. Each home may sponsor up to six rental periods a year, with no more than four starting between Memorial Day and Labor Day.

Short-term rentals are allowed at Timber Trails with community limits. TTCA deed restrictions, which took effect January 1, 2024 and apply to all Timber Trails properties, limit each home to 10 rentals per calendar year, with no more than four between Memorial Day and Labor Day. Rentals must be registered with TTCA, including guest and vehicle information. Most of Timber Trails is in Tobyhanna Township, which requires a township STR permit and sets operating rules covering occupancy, parking and local response to the property. The small Coolbaugh Township section is zoned R-2, where short-term rentals are allowed with an annual Coolbaugh license and inspection. In both townships the permit or license is tied to the owner and does not transfer when a home is sold. Renters can use Lake Naomi Club facilities only through a temporary membership sponsored by the owner. Most homes are in Tobyhanna Township and a small number are in Coolbaugh Township, so buyers should confirm a property's township from its county tax record, along with current TTCA rules and permit requirements, before purchasing.
