Ski Side Village, formerly Mountains Edge, is a small gated townhouse community in Tannersville, Pocono Township, Monroe County, near the base of Camelback Mountain. Developed in the mid-1980s, it has roughly 56 townhouses on wooded terrain, a smaller and more intimate setting than the larger resort communities around Camelback.
Homes are generally compact two-level townhomes with features common to Pocono vacation properties, including fireplaces and decks. The association, Mountain Edge Village Community Association, handles road and grounds maintenance, snow removal and trash collection.
Older resort material advertises a pool, tennis and other facilities. Recent listings do not, so buyers should confirm which amenities the association currently provides during document review.

Short-term rentals are allowed at Ski Side Village. The community sits in Pocono Township's Recreation District (RD), one of the two zoning districts where the township licenses short-term rentals, which it calls Transient Dwelling Units (TDUs). Starting one requires zoning or change-of-use approval and an annual township license, and township records show Ski Side units applying for TDU licenses. TDU licenses are not transferable, so a buyer must obtain their own. The township also requires a separate license for each unit, liability insurance, hotel and sales-tax documentation, compliance with occupancy limits, and either owner occupancy or a designated local person in charge within 15 miles. The association's current rental rules are not published, so buyers should review them in the resale documents before purchasing.
