Little Gap Estates is a private residential community in Lower Towamensing Township, Carbon County, in the village of Little Gap — a small unincorporated community along the Aquashicola Creek in the southeastern corner of Carbon County. Beltzville State Park and Lake, in the adjacent Towamensing Township, provides a large public lake with motorboating, kayaking, a beach, swimming, hiking, fishing, and cross-country skiing. The historic Little Gap Covered Bridge, which crosses the Aquashicola Creek in the village, was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1980. Historic Jim Thorpe is a short drive away.

Little Gap Estates is zoned R-1 Low Density Residential, where Lower Towamensing Township allows short-term rentals only by Special Exception. An owner must apply to and be approved by the township Zoning Hearing Board, then obtain a township short-term rental license. The ordinance does not allow a short-term rental on a lot that is nonconforming as to minimum lot area, so smaller lots may not qualify at all.
