PIKE COUNTY · LACKAWAXEN TOWNSHIP · HAWLEY
Tink-Wig Mountain Lake Forest is a large private four-season community in Lackawaxen Township, Pike County, about ten minutes from Lake Wallenpaupack. The association reports more than 800 lots, both built and vacant, along over 17 miles of community roads, with a typical minimum lot size of about an acre. That scale makes it one of the larger communities in the Hawley area while keeping a wooded, low-density feel.
The centerpiece is 110-acre Tink Wig Lake, where electric motors are permitted and residents fish, kayak and paddle. A seasonal pool, playground, basketball and pickleball court, shuffleboard, horseshoes and a boat storage area round out the outdoor facilities, and the clubhouse adds indoor gathering space with table tennis, air hockey and shuffleboard. Resident committees oversee the roads, the lake, the pool and the clubhouse.
Hawley and Lake Wallenpaupack supply shopping, dining and major recreation nearby, while the community itself stays residential rather than resort-like, with a mix of full-time residents, second-home owners and undeveloped lots.
✗ STR Not Permitted — HOA Rules
Short-term rentals are not permitted at Tink-Wig. The property owners association states in its member information that short-term rentals are not allowed. Lackawaxen Township’s zoning and permit requirements apply to rental activity generally, but the association’s prohibition controls inside the community. Buyers should confirm the current association rules before purchasing.
